Tomorrow, New York will implement an increase in cigarette tax. According to NY1, the increase will make a New York cigarette pack the most expensive in the country. The irony is that state officials are reportedly looking to use the moneys gained from the exorbitant tax to fund "health-related programs."
How's this for today's logic problem:
Cigarette Smoking=Health Issues
Health Issues=Needed Funds For Health-Related Problems
Cigarette Smoking=Cigarette Tax=Lots of $$$
Cigarette Tax=Needed Funds For Health-Related Problems
Do you have a headache yet?! Lol.
If you're still smoking in 2008, wouldn't this be a great time to kick that nicotine habit? You can probably build a mini-mansion with the money you'll save.
