Yesterday, The Supreme Court overturned a decision by a lower court that would have allowed for the release of photographs allegedly showing Iraqi prisoners being abused by occupying soldiers.
The Supreme Court's decision was reportedly bolstered by a law that was recently passed, which allows The Secretary of Defense to prohibit the photographs' release in the name of national security.
Dissenters to The Supreme Court's decision claim that withholding the violates The Freedom of Information Act. This issue has been passed down to The United States Court of Appeals.
