Two bills have recently passed through the House of Representatives that will designate billions of dollars in a couple of ways.
According to The Wall Street Journal, the House passed legislation (in a 368-60 vote) that will allocate $96.7 billion "to pay for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and other foreign-assistance operations."
According to CNN, the House approved a bill (in a 275-155 vote) to allocate $6.4 billion to make American schools "greener." This money will reportedly be used to make school buildings more "energy efficient."
