While reading a biography on Barack Obama, I came across an interesting passage about the long-time relationship between Barack Obama and Jesse Jackson.
"Also officially coming on board [to support Obama's Senate run] was the Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr., the best known Black leader in the country. Jackson, whose Rainbow/PUSH organization was headquartered in Hyde Park, had been an informal adviser to Obama for several years...Michelle...had been friends with Jackson's daughter, Jacqueline, while they grew up on Chicago's South Side. As a teenager, Michelle had even babysat young Jesse Jr." -From, "Obama: From Promise To Power" By: David Mendell
