Elsie Law's Daily Dose Of The Law

The proposed Employee Free Choice Act of 2009 will reportedly increase the penalties that employers will have to pay if they engage in unfair labor practices. If passed the law could also require that binding arbitration between unions and companies be used to set the terms and conditions of employment.

This Act was introduced in the United States House of Representatives last month. This bill is a proposed amendment to The National Labor Act.
