Now that Hillary Clinton has been named President-Elect Obama's Secretary of State, her Senate seat will be left vacant when she assumes her new role.
The powers of the Governor's office vests New York's Governor David Paterson with the responsibility of picking Clinton's replacement. As of now, Paterson says that he will remain silent on who he will choose to be the new New York Senator. He has stated that he will not announce his choice for Senator until the current-Senator Clinton officially vacates her seat.
If anyone has any idea on who should be the new Senate representative for New York, now would be a good time to write or call Governor Paterson's office and let your voice be heard.
