Dell Incorporated settled a lawsuit with 44 states of The United States, by agreeing to pay out $3.35 million.
The payout is for restitution for allegedly misleading customers about the company's: financing plans, product warranties, and rebates.
According to The Wall Street Journal, "Consumers may be eligible for restitution if they purchased a Dell product between April 1, 2005, and April 13, 2009, have a complaint that is addressed by the agreement and believe Dell owes them money. The amount each receives depends on the number of eligible recipients and the total amount claimed. Eligible consumers must file claims postmarked by April 13 with their states."
