The Fair Pay Act is expected to be the first bill that President Barack Obama signs into law. According to The Wall Street Journal, the bill won "Senate approval late Thursday after the House approved it earlier this month."The Fair Pay Act will allow employees to file claims of discrimination against their employer within 180 days of receiving their most recent paycheck, despite when the acts of discrimination occurred. This law will also reportedly give employees the opportunity to get back-pay for up to 2 years prior to a filed claim for unfair wages.
