Elsie Law's Daily Dose Of The Law

An appeals panel gave a New Jersey woman the green light to proceed with a worker's compensation lawsuit, in which the woman claims that she was rendered disabled by a co-worker spraying perfume near her.

According to the New York Daily News, the plaintiff, who was employed by a county-owned nursing home at the time of the aforementioned incident, has "a chronic lung condition that resulted from smoking a pack of cigarettes a day for 43 years; [she] claims [that] the smell [of her co-worker spraying perfume near her] exacerbated her ailment." Therefore, she is suing the county for worker's compensation.
