Today's Fly Or Die Commerce Report: Universal Sells Its Film Subsidiary

NBC Universal sold its subsidiary, Rogue Pictures, to Relativity Media for approximately $150 million.

Rogue pictures creates lower-budgeted films, and has been quite profitable. Last year, one of the highest grossing films that the company produced sold more than $50 million in domestic tickets.

Universal's sale of Rogue is purportedly a move to bolster Universal's end of the year bottom line.
