Today's Fly Or Die Commerce Report: The NFL/DirecTV Deal

Last week the NFL and DirecTV completed a multi-billion dollar negotiation. According to The Wall Street Journal, the 4 year deal will require DirecTV to pay the National Football League $1 billion annually "for League exclusive rights to sell the Sunday Ticket Package- [which] allows fans to see every NFL game on Sundays."

The Wall Street Journal also states that the NFL already has partnerships with other broadcast companies. They report that, "ESPN pays the NFL $1.1 billion a season, NBC Universal pays $600 million, and CBS pays $620 million" for their broadcast rights.
