Elsie Law's Daily Dose Of The Law

The "micro-blogging" website, Twitter, is being sued by a technology company that claims that the site is violating their patents. The Texas-based company (TechRadium) is reportedly suing for licensing fees and unspecified damages in federal court.

According to Wired, TechRadium alleges that they own the patents for the "mass notification" system that Twitter utilizes.

This case will set a precedent regarding the guidelines of what techniques will be considered patent-protected in cyber-space.
