Here's some pertinent voting advice via The NY Daily News:
TO FIND YOUR POLLING PLACE IF YOU ARE A NYC VOTER: Call (866) VOTE-NYC, 311 or (212) VOTE-NYC. Go to www.vote.nyc.ny.us. Click on the “Poll Site Locator” icon.
IF YOU ARE DISABLED: Each polling place will have at least one voting machine that is disabled-friendly. Assistance will be provided.
IF YOU HAVE TROUBLE VOTING: Registered voters whose name does not appear on the poll list can vote on a paper ballot, known as an affidavit or provisional ballot. If there’s a mechanical problem, voters can request a paper emergency ballot. Or they can request to appear before judges assigned in each borough to hear Election Day appeals.
DO YOU NEED ID?: Identification usually isn’t required, but some first-time voters might be asked for ID. Voting monitors suggest bringing a combination of documents showing identity and home address. They can include a driver’s license, a valid photo ID from work or college, a utility bill or a passport or naturalization document.
IF YOU STILL NEED HELP: Call the New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG) and Common Cause/NY at (212) 822-0282 from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM to locate polling sites, get advice on voting rights and to report problems at the polls. Call the League of Women Voters of New York City, (212) 725-3541, 7:30 AM to 8 PM, for questions and information.
