According to The Wall Street Journal, Google has invested more money into a biotech company owned by the wife of one of the website's co-founders. The $2.6 million investment is Google's most recent investment in 23andMe Inc. The online giant reportedly invested approximately $4 million in the company in 2007.
23andMe Inc. is a company that analyzes people's genetic information. Google is refuting that it's investment in the company is nepotism. The Wall Street Journal states that: "Google said its investment in 23andMe was consistent with the internet search company's goal of organizing the world's information."
