Today's Fly Or Die Commerce Report

Earlier this year, Nokia- the world's largest cellphone manufacturer- purchased the digital map-making company Navteq for $8 billion. This acquisition will allow Nokia to have a more advanced version of "Nokia Maps" on their latest editions of cellphones- namely the soon to be released N-97.

Nokia's upgrading of Nokia Maps is likely a move to create a location application that is at least comparable to, if not more sophisticated than, the Google phone's application, "Google maps."
