Black History Fact Of The Day

Carl Brashear was the first African-American to become a Navy Master Diver. He accomplished this goal in 1970. He enlisted into the navy in 1948, shortly after it has been desegregated.

The life of Mr. Brashear is recounted in the movie, "Men Of Honor." Cuba Gooding Jr. played the role of the pioneering navy hero.
