Today's Fly Or Die Commerce Report: Cisco Is In Negotiations To Acquire The Flip-Camera Company

Cisco, a company that has profitably manufactured and sold networking switches and routers, is reportedly in the process of purchasing Pure Digital Technologies. Pure Digital is the seller and manufacturer of the popular flip video camera.

Cisco is adamant that adamant that this purchase will help them transition into the consumer market for easy-to-create and share videos.

Pure Digital will allegedly cost Cisco $590 million. This is a drop in the hat for the company that, according to Information Week is, "flush with a $29 billion war chest" that it has earmarked to use to buy up other companies.
