More Proof That This Recession Is A Sham

According to The Gothamist, the MTA has revealed that approximately $500,000,000 in federal stimulus dollars will be used to assist in the construction of a transit center in New York City. The total price tag on the project, which will possibly include a glass-domed edifice, is allegedly $1.4 billion. The "Fulton Street Transit Center" will reportedly be a stop for the 2, 3, 4, 5, A, C, E, J, M, Z, R, and W trains.

Over a billion dollars is being earmarked to be spent on a fancy train station; amidst cuts and lay-offs galore. This bailout is becoming a bad joke/nightmare. SMH,

[SIDEBAR: With all of the proposed MTA cuts, will some of the train lines that are supposed to run through the new transit station even exist by the time the structure is built.]
