Jazz musician Charlie Parker was instrumental in reigning in the bebop era. His innovative playing style and improvisations influenced a lot of his musical peers, a future musicians.
When Mr. Parker tragically died at the age of 34, he was laid in-state in Harlem. His funeral was officiated by Adam Clayton Powell Jr.
