Today's Fly Or Die Commerce Report: GE's $300 Million Contract With China

According to The Wall Street Journal, General Electric recently won a $300 million contract with China. They will supply China with the necessary equipment to extend their natural gas line.

China, is already home to one of the longest active gas pipelines on the globe. When the extension that GE is currently contracted to complete is finalized by 2011, their gas line will be longer than the Great Wall.

GE's and China's affiliation with each other is nothing new. They have had a business relationship with each for more than 3 decades.

Most notably, The Wall Street Journal states: "The company says it recognized about $600 million in revenues in 2008 from roughly 400 infrastructure projects it sold in China surrounding the Olympics last year."
